The event is taking place at Kommune from 2pm to 6.30pm, in partnership with Freedom Brewery, with ticket profits going to CALM, and here’s how the day will shape up:

2pm Sport & Self-Care

An interview with Luke Campbell MBE. The Olympic gold medal winning boxer will be talking to us about caring for yourself mentally and physically, how he has battled through tough times, and what boxing does for him, and what sport can do for everybody.

3pm – Mental Health & Men

A discussion about men and how they deal with mental health issues, featuring some key figures from the area:

Brendan Stone is one of the founders of Sheffield Flourish, a mental health community and charity, and Professor of Social Engagement and the Humanities at Sheffield University, as well as Executive Director at the Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Trust.

Angga Kara is a well-being expert for men specialising in mental health, and coaching people on resilience, mindfulness and positive psychology.

Roy Percival is a Police Constable working with the British Transport Police at Sheffield Midland Station, who is a first responder to many mental health incidents.

Ben Hawley is Marketing and Communications Director for CALM, the Campaign Against Living Miserably.

4pm – Why we need to reconnect with nature.

Adventurer, survival expert and BOM columnist Megan Hine will be talking to us about why connecting to nature can do wonders for your confidence, creativity and overall well-being.

5pm – The Male Psyche, Kane-d.

Comedian, podcast host, and BOM columnist Russell Kane will be taking a look at male behaviour today. What has changed, and what really hasn’t. Get ready for serious insight and serious laughs as we dissect the male psyche with Russell.

6pm – Otis Mensah

A special performance to close the day by the rapper who also happens to be Sheffield’s poet laureate, and all-round hero. Check out his latest here:

Tickets for the event are just £10, and include a goodie bag with grooming products from the amazing Seb Man, and health supplements from WellMan.

Our other partners, Freedom Brewery, will also be on hand with their sustainable vegan beer throughout the day.
